Preferences: Style

Using the Style tab in the Preferences/Options feature, basic preferences can be set when opening, saving, or converting MicroMark styles.

• Prefix Style Name – when checked, adds the style name before each piece name when a style is opened.

• Extract Style Name – when checked, removes the style name from each piece name when the style is saved.

• Export Grain – when checked, adds a grain line to each piece when it is saved. This option is primarily used when AccuMark data is being saved as MicroMark format.

• Notch Table – controls what type of notches are applied when MicroMark data is converted to AccuMark format. Select the notch table name to use from the drop-down menu.

• Store Style to Model – determines how the MicroMark Piece Message is used when data is converted to AccuMark format. The message can become the Category or Description. Since the MicroMark Piece Message can be up to 32 characters, it will be shortened if it exceeds 20 characters.

• Digitize Notch Option – sets the type of notch to be applied when translating digitized data. Different notch types can be set for internal and external notches. Select the appropriate number from the drop-down menu.

• Notch Conversion – controls how notches will convert when MicroMark data is saved in the AccuMark format. Set the MicroMark Notch Type, Depth and AccuMark Type for each notch being converted.

Click Save to make the new settings permanent. Click OK to close the Preferences dialog box.
