Preferences: Display Tab
Piece:
• Filled Pieces – controls how pieces display on the work area. When checked, pieces display with color fill rather than as wire frames. Use the Fabric Type field on the Color Preferences page to define the fill color used.
• Symbols – turns the point shapes on and off. When checked, symbols will indicate the type of point (grade, end of line, intermediate, etc.)
• Fit Pieces in Work Area – controls how the screen is scaled when pieces are placed in the work area. When checked, the work area will be scaled to Full Scale when pieces are placed.
• Show Actual Notch Depth – controls how the system will display the notches on the work area. When checked, the notches will be scaled to reflect their depth indicated in the P-Notch table.
• Hide Seam – controls the display of seam internals. When checked, seam internals will NOT display on the screen. The Hide Seams button in the Info Bar can also be used to turn seam internals on and off.
• Orientation Symbol – turns the orientation symbol on and off. When checked, the orientation symbol for a piece displays above the grain line. The recommended default setting for this command is on.
Alt Grade Reference Arrow - On/Off toggle for an arrow to display above lines defined as Alternate Grade Reference Lines (G1, G2, etc.)
• Show Point/Line Info – controls the display of Point and Line Info boxes when points or lines are selected. When checked, tracking boxes will display as the mouse is moved over points or lines. Point types, grade rule numbers and line labels are shown in the tracking boxes.
• Perimeter Mode– specifies whether perimeter extensions display (Unclipped) or pieces display with a closed perimeter (Clipped).
• Internal Pattern – indicates the type of line to be used for non-perimeter lines. Choose from Solid or Dashed. This setting does NOT apply to seam internals or mirror lines. To change the line type for a plotted piece, see the Annotation table.
Piece Info:
A radio button allows you select where the piece info will display, in the center or at the grain line of a piece. Check boxes allow the information displayed to be selected: Name, Size, Description.
