Binding
Binding pieces can be created by selecting the corresponding lines. Notches will be placed along the length to indicate seam positions and notches from original lines. Grading is also applied to the piece to fit the original lines for all sizes.
Using options in the function, the piece width, grading, and rotation can be set. To create the rectangle, select lines. If the Grade Piece option was turned on, the piece will match the selected lines for all graded sizes.
To Create a Binding Piece:
1. From the Create Tab select Binding from the Piece Group.
2. Select from the following User Input options:
• Name – enter the piece name for the new piece.
• Add Piece to Model/Style – use to add the piece to the current style or model.
• Binding Width – enter the width measurement of the new piece.
• Depth – determines the depth of a notch for MicroMark notches. Type in the desired depth.
• Type – controls the kind of notch being added. Select from the drop-down menu.
3. Select the lines in a counterclockwise order. The lines can be selected from multiple pieces. When finished, select OK.
4. Left click to drop the new piece on the work area.
