Measure Distance 2 Lines
Use to measure the distance between two lines. The User Input box allows the user to determine various vertical and horizontal measurements.
1. From the Verify tab, select Distance 2 Lines in the Measure panel.
2. Select from the following User Input options:
• Vertical – calculates a measurement across a piece in the Y axis.
• Horizontal – calculates a measurement across a piece in the X axis.
• Perpendicular to Grain – calculates a measurement that is at a right angle to the grain line.
• Parallel to Grain – calculates a measurement that is equal distance from the grain line.
• Select 2 Lines to Measure – controls how the lines are selected for the function. When checked, the user will select 2 lines to indicate where the measurement should be taken.
3. Depending on what was chosen in the User Input options, the selection changes:
• If Select 2 Lines to Measure was chosen, select 2 lines to measure in between.
• If Select 2 Lines to Measure was not chosen, select 1 line to measure.
4. Place the measuring line by cursor or value mode:
• Cursor Mode – left click to place the measuring line.
• Value Mode – enter a distance in the Beg or End fields to position the measuring line. This measurement determines the placement of the measuring line along the selected line.
