Plot
Use this function to send pieces in the work area to the plotter. Depending on what was chosen in Preferences/Options, the pieces will plot directly or the plot form will display.
1. From the File menu, select Plot or press the CTRL + L keys on the keyboard.
2. Select from the following User Input options:
• Plot – the selected pieces will be drawn on the plotter paper.
• Cut – the selected pieces will be cut from the plotter paper.
• Number of Copies – set this to the number of times each piece should be plotted. The maximum is 10 times.
• Media – use to change the Plotter Settings being used. Select the desired file from the drop-down menu.
• New Page – if this button is selected, the plotter paper will advance before the pieces are plotted.
• Save As Image File – if checked, an image file will also be created from the pieces being sent to the plotter.
3. Select the pieces to be plotted in the work area. When finished, select OK.
4. If Cut was selected, select the internals to be cut. When finished, select OK.
1. From the File menu, select Plot. The Plotter Window will display.
2. From the View menu, select Bed Size. Edit the Width and Length fields as needed. Select OK. These fields are for visual display only. The actual width and length of the plotter are defined in Plotter Settings.
3. From the Edit menu, select Place Piece to plot or Place Cut to cut pieces. Select the piece from the work area or the icon menu. Left click in the Plot Form to place the piece.
4. Select any of the following options to manipulate pieces in the Plotter Window form and control the plotter.
• Edit/Move Piece – used to move a pattern piece already placed in the form. Once this option is selected, click on the piece to move and click again to place.
• Edit/Rotate Piece – select to pivot a piece in the form. Once the option is selected, left click on the piece to rotate. Move the cursor to rotate the piece. Left click again to place the piece.
• Edit/Clear Pieces – used to remove all pieces from the form. The function is automatically performed.
• Tools/Lock Plotter – select to limit access to the plotter until the current plotting session is finished. It is required before processing on a network. Use Clear Owner in Queue Manage when necessary to allow other systems to unlock the plotter.
• Tools/New Page – select to advance the plotter pager.
• Tools/Set Media – use to select the media type, originally defined in Plotter Settings. Once this option is selected, choose the Media from the list that displays and select OK.
5. When finished, select Plot Pieces from the File menu.
