Choose if and how you would like to receive the optimistic concurrency prompts:
If you work with several other users on shared network drives or SQL devices, and often in the same storage areas, it is advantageous to display the optimistic concurrency prompts. This will alert you if you the data item you are working on is also being worked on by another user, having the potential to lose either your modifications or your colleagues changes and updates. If this is your environment select to “Show concurrent opening warning”. Then optionally set the way to proceed with the choices in the “Show the concurrent editing warning” selections.
Deselect the ‘show’ options if you do not want to be prompted continuously. For example, you may just be opening to view the same data without the intention of making any modifications.
Enable or disable Show concurrent opening warning prompts:
A prompt displays when you are opening a data item that is currently opened by another user or application. An application can be a process that you are running like cut generation or regenerate marker, or another program like Pattern Design (PDS), AccuMark Explorer, Easy Order, or Easy Marking.
Identify how to proceed for the Show the concurrent editing warning prompts:
A prompt displays when you are saving a data item that has been modified or changed by another user or application while you had the same data item opened.
Select “Show the warning (recommended)” option to continuously display the concurrent editing prompt so you can decide what to do for each data item that was changed by someone or some other application.
If you do not want to be prompted each time, but simply want to continuously Overwrite, Reload, or Compare, select either Overwrite / Reload / Compare to tell the program to continue to perform that function each time you proceed to save a data item that was modified by a different user or application. This is the same as selecting the “Apply for all subsequent items of the same type” option in the dialog.
