Overview
The AccuMark Explorer allows you to view all of the drives accessible to your computer that contain AccuMark storage areas. You can also view the data items in each storage area. You can generate reports from the Explorer, and view them through the report viewer. Using the Explorer you can create new AccuMark data items, and import, export, process or manage AccuMark data. You can also access the plotters available to your system, and monitor the status of all plotters from a single location.
AccuMark Explorer lets you create new data items and import, export, process, or manage existing marker, model or piece data. The right mouse button shortcut menu lets you send selected data immediately to the next step in the workflow in the production process. For instance, you can generate a marker directly from an order, or generate cut data directly from marker data.
AccuMark Explorer features a ribbon that includes tabs for File, Home, Process, Automation, Output,Reports, and View selections. The ribbon makes navigation of the AccuMark applications easier and the primary functionality more obvious.
The AccuMark Explorer features panels for Navigation, Details, and a Preview Pane. The user’s working environment is maintained by keeping the selections for panes as well as the columns that are shown or hidden, sorting choices and columns widths. The explorer also has a column for Status, which will allow sorting and filtering by Marker Status. The Options located under the AccuMark Explorer File menu allows users to set various work preferences including how data opens, SQL storage area locations, and how user information is displayed.
Depending on the selection in the Navigation pane (All Folders) or the Details Pane (Contents), certain options will display active or disabled in the ribbon.
AccuMark Find
The Find utility—similar to the Windows Find utility—is accessible from within Explorer. This utility lets you search for specific AccuMark data items and perform actions on the results of the search. For instance, if you add a notch to a piece, you can search for all of the markers that contain that piece and then easily reorder, reprocess, and remake one or more of those markers.
As is common with Windows features, there are multiple ways for you to accomplish the same task in both Explorer and AccuMark Find, depending on your comfort level with the system.
