Winplot
WinPlot converts and formats plot files from AccuMark and other non-Gerber CAD systems that generate plot files according to the following requirements. After converting for proper page limits, submit these files to a plot queue and plot on any of the Gerber family of plotters. In addition to formatting standard plot files, WinPlot includes utilities to manage the plotter queue, view plot files, and set plotter media characteristics.
HPGL Plot Files (.plt)- files that conform to HP 7475 plotter requirements. Generic HPGL format files can also be converted. These include files exported as HPGL files (.plt) from packages such as Micrografx Designer or CorelDraw™. WinPlot does not support arc or circle commands. Unsupported commands will be reported in the log file window.
Gerber Plot Files (.gen or other user defined extension) - plot files generated from AccuMark . The plots are submitted to the plot queue, and no conversion is performed.
DWG Plot Files (.dwg) - .dwg files generated primarily from Autocad. The .dwg format is a binary file. The .dwg format allows plots to be generated full size so that WinPlot can process the plot without having to apply scaling. While most .dwg commands are supported, any unsupported commands will be reported in the log file.
DXF Plot Files (.dxf) - plot files generated from Autocad and other CAD software programs. The format adhered to by many CAD packages. DXF files are generally larger in size than the equivalent plot file in dwg format. Most dxf commands are supported. Unsupported commands will be reported in the log file.
Gerber Cut Files (.nc or other user defined extension) - Gerber cut files generated from AccuMark or other CAD software.
Gerber Job Files (JOB extension) - Specially formatted Gerber cut files created for the Paragon series cutters.
